Car Hire
Most international car hire companies are represented in Kenya.  Rates vary on a daily or weekly basis, depending upon the type of vehicle - ranging from a 4 x wheel drive to small saloons.
  • The minimum age to hire a care is 25 years.
  • A current driving license (not a Provisional one), must be produced by the hirer at the time of hiring.
  • the license must have been in force for at least two years and be free from certain endorsements.
  • Overseas visitors may present their own national driving license or an International Driving License.
  • Other drivers, apart from the hirer, may be permitted to drive the car with the approval of the hire company.
  • Usually, full payment for the period of hire, cost of estimated mileage and the cost of a full tank of petrol, is made when taking over the car.  There will also be a deposit nominated by the hire company.
  • Normal credit card facilities are available.
  • Should you wish to extend the period of hire, the hire company must be notified immediately.
